		<description>no difference. toms are toms. now, they could be different depending on how you mean &#039;mounted&#039; and &#039;racked&#039;. some toms are mounted on the bass drum. this will make the drums sound different because big holes need to be drilled in the top of the bass drum shell in order to mount them this way. in many of the higher end sets, you cannot do this. so you need a rack to mount the toms on. also, there are 2 ways which you can mount the tom: from the rim, or through the drum (like the bass drum). again, the higher end sets use a rim-mounting system so that no holes need to be drilled through the shell.</description>
